CAERULEUS QUADRATUM
(THE BLUE SQUARE)

The work has always had the blue square somewhere, but it was not always so evident.

This last year the blue square has become the obsession, and the main emphasis.

Still connected with life and landscape, the images are abstracted, painted, collaged, and layered.

The paintings encompass found objects embedded in the paint- wool from the fences, cotton, rust, earth etc to explore texture, proportion, light and space.

To explore the obsession.

Bruce said, “ There is a sensual rhythmic quality to the work, that hits me just right!”

Mark said, “Of all the work that we have received so far, I have to say that I like your work the most. It’s the business”

Amanda said,” I looked at your work, they have a calming resonance..the kind found in Rothko…lovely!”
